Our History

Egypt started cultivating cotton by a mere coincidence. It all started during Mohamed Ali’s regime when a Frenchman living in Egypt was attracted to a cotton plant that was cultivated in Egypt and quickly realized how different is the quality of its cotton due to its extremely long staple. The Frenchman started cultivating some cotton trees and produced three bales of cotton that were sold in France for a very high price.
